GDC2-63 AC MCB Overview
O GDC2-63 AC MCB is a compact miniature circuit breaker designed for overload and short-circuit protection in low-voltage AC electrical systems. With rated currents from 1A to 63A, a rated breaking capacity of 6kA, and multiple pole configurations, the series can be used in residential distribution boards, commercial electrical panels, industrial control cabinets and OEM equipment.
O GDC2-63 AC MCB is available in 1P, 2P, 3P and 4P versions, allowing the same product family to cover both single-phase and three-phase protection requirements. Rated voltage reaches 240/415V AC, with a frequency of 50/60 Hz.
Three thermo-magnetic trip characteristics are available:
- B Curve
- C Curve
- D Curve
These trip curves allow the GDC2-63 series to be matched to different load conditions. B curve models are suitable for circuits with lower inrush current, C curve models are commonly used for general distribution and equipment circuits, while D curve versions can be selected for loads with higher starting currents.
Compared with the GDC1-63 series, the GDC2-63 AC MCB provides a higher 6kA breaking capacity, making it suitable for installations where a greater short-circuit interruption capability is required.
The breaker is designed for standard 35mm DIN rail mounting, making installation and replacement straightforward inside modular electrical panels.
Características do produto
O GDC2-63 AC MCB provides a rated short-circuit breaking capacity of 6000A.
This higher breaking capability makes the series suitable for residential, commercial and industrial distribution systems where prospective fault current may exceed the capability of a standard 4.5kA MCB.
Available current ratings include:
1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A, 8A, 10A, 16A, 20A, 25A, 32A, 40A, 50A and 63A.
This wide selection allows the GDC2-63 AC MCB to protect different branch circuits, loads and electrical equipment.
The GDC2-63 series is available in:
- 1P
- 2P
- 3P
- 4P
Multiple pole options simplify product selection for different single-phase and three-phase installations. The GDC2-63 AC MCB supports B, C and D thermo-magnetic characteristics, making the series adaptable to different load profiles and inrush-current requirements.A built-in contact position indicator provides a clear visual reference of breaker status, helping technicians during inspection and maintenance. The breaker is designed for mounting on a standard 35mm DIN rail, supporting compact installation in modular distribution and control equipment.

Selecting a GDC2-63 AC MCB
When selecting a GDC2-63 AC MCB, engineers should consider more than the rated current.
Important selection factors include:
- Load current
- Cable capacity
- Tensão do sistema
- Number of poles
- Prospective short-circuit current
- Required trip curve
- Upstream and downstream protection coordination
For standard distribution circuits, C curve is commonly used. B curve may be preferred for lower-inrush loads, while D curve can be selected where equipment produces higher starting currents.
The selected GDC2-63 breaker should always match the conductor capacity and electrical characteristics of the protected circuit.
