Description
GDC4-63 AC MCB Overview
The GDC4-63 AC MCB is a compact miniature circuit breaker designed for overload and short-circuit protection in low-voltage AC distribution systems. With rated currents from 1A to 63A, a 6kA breaking capacity, and multiple pole configurations, the series provides a flexible protection solution for residential, commercial and light industrial electrical installations.
The GDC4-63 AC MCB is available in 1P, 2P, 3P and 4P versions, allowing the same product family to be used in both single-phase and three-phase systems. Rated operating voltage is 240/415V AC, with a rated frequency of 50/60Hz.
Three thermo-magnetic trip curves are available:
- B Curve
- C Curve
- D Curve
These curve options allow the GDC4-63 AC MCB to be matched to different load characteristics. B curve is suitable for circuits with relatively low inrush current, C curve is commonly used for general distribution and equipment circuits, while D curve can be selected for loads with higher starting current.
The GDC4-63 uses a compact modular housing with a clearly visible operating handle and contact position indicator. This makes breaker status easy to check during routine inspection and maintenance.
Designed for standard 35mm DIN rail mounting, the GDC4-63 AC MCB can be installed efficiently in distribution boards, control panels and OEM electrical assemblies.
Product Features
6kA Breaking Capacity
The GDC4-63 AC MCB provides a rated breaking capacity of 6000A, helping interrupt short-circuit currents within its specified operating range.
This makes the series suitable for installations that require higher interruption capability than basic 4.5kA MCB products.
1A to 63A Current Range
Available current ratings include:
1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A, 8A, 10A, 16A, 20A, 25A, 32A, 40A, 50A and 63A.
The wide current range allows the GDC4-63 AC MCB to cover lighting circuits, socket circuits, distribution feeders and equipment protection.
1P / 2P / 3P / 4P Configurations
The GDC4-63 series is available in:
- 1P
- 2P
- 3P
- 4P
Different pole options simplify product selection for different electrical system layouts.
B / C / D Trip Curves
The GDC4-63 AC MCB supports B, C and D thermo-magnetic characteristics, allowing engineers to select a curve according to normal load current and expected inrush current.
Contact Position Indicator
A built-in contact position indicator provides clear visual identification of breaker status, helping improve inspection efficiency.
DIN Rail Mounting
The breaker is designed for 35mm DIN rail installation, supporting quick assembly and replacement inside modular electrical panels.
