Start by confirming whether the application is AC, DC or solar PV. Then check the system voltage, rated current and required fuse size. The fuse link and fuse holder must use the same dimensions, such as 10×38mm, 14×51mm or 22×58mm. If you are unsure, send us your circuit specifications for selection support.
AC and DC fuses are designed for different arc-extinguishing conditions. DC circuits can maintain an electrical arc longer than AC circuits, so a fuse must have a suitable DC voltage and breaking-capacity rating. Do not select a fuse based only on its current rating.
An AC fuse should not be used in a solar PV circuit unless it is specifically rated for the required DC voltage and application. Solar systems normally require gPV fuse links and compatible PV fuse holders designed for DC string and array protection.
